Thinking
Maps
During this first term we have been using Thinking Maps as a tool to organize ideas and to improve our reading and writing skills. They are very helpful as they create a visual pattern of the texts we have been working on.
For definitions and brainstorming we have used the Circle Map
(Religion, Myths)
For descriptions we have used the Bubble Map.
(The Earth, Climates)
To compare and contrast we have used the Double Bubble Map.
(Rotation and Revolution)
To classify we have used the Tree Map.
(Types of Maps and Elements of the Weather and Climate)
For sequencing events or ideas we have used the Flow Map.
(The story of Thanksgiving)
To break down a whole into parts we have used the Brace Map.
(The structure of the Earth)
