We collected ours from No. 1 APAC Drive, which is very close to Melbourne airport. Fees are around AUD 650. Our Airline Warehouse : It was located about 10 minutes walk away from the customs warehouse. Your carnet and passport copy have to be deposited there. You must return the next day, as they need 24 hours to process the documentation. Quarantine : After clearing Carnet and Customs, proceed to the Quarantine Department (Australian Government Department of Agriculture and Water Sources). The paperwork takes about 20 minutes. After registering your enquiry, you must call and book the time for the bike inspection. Inspection : It was done at APAC No. 1, where our bikes were parked. Their main inspection was the cleanliness of tyres. The officer was very friendly and inspection was competed in 5 minutes.
