BC: Which riding event you like the most
in the country?
NN: North East Riders Meet, well known
as NERM. It's the annual event and one of
the biggest festival of Royal Enfield riders
in the North East of India which is
organized by Royal Enfield riding
community from North Easter states in a
place of their choice and with the motto;
when we meet, we grow. Every year it is
conducted in one state, this year it was in
Mizoram and next will be in Nagaland.
Last year it was in Sikkim. They represent
their culture and tradition. In this event
not only riders comes from other states
but from other countries too. We all camp
together, eat together, dance together and
spread brotherhood and love. It's a
beautiful event of three days full of new
culture, adventure, competition, tradition
and brotherhood.
BC: Do you think there should be more
riding events in the country?
NN: There should be an event of get
together of all riding brothers and sisters
but should be limited. Like for me I mostly
love to attend only three big events, i.e.
NERM, BOBMC and RERM (GOA).
But nowadays it has become more
commercial. Every now and then you can
see this kinds of events coming up that
looses the real motive of the get
togetherness. I have seen fights,
negativity, politics, business and profit
making minded people too. After those
events, you can see negative posts and
comments on FB and WhatsApp groups
which is really embracing for the riding
community. So, I think there should
remain only limited events which are best
in quality and brotherhood.
BC: Who-What & Which is your biggest
motivation in life?
NN: The biggest motivation of my life are
my struggles, which taught me better
lessons and made me strong by each
passing day. I have learned that if you are
determined then nothing is impossible.
And if you ask me about people then there
are three people who motivates and
inspires me;
Balaji Suresh - who taught me how to
survive in the most difficult situation and
never give up.
Sushmita Sen - my idol, my inspiration
Dr. Maral Maya - her profile is enough.
BC: If you are given a choice to take on a
sponsored LDR with any other rider, then
whom will you choose to ride with and
also which bike and destination will you
prefer? And why?
NN: I will choose Balaji Suresh, from
Tamilnadu to ride with, who have explored
India, Nepal, Bhutan on his bike in depth
for almost 550 days, and because we have
a same mindset and share the same
passion that believes in exploring each
and every corner of a place. We just don't
ride and cover the distances but we live
the moment and love to share it with
everyone to inspire them more to live their
dreams.
I will choose Africa Twin for my world tour.
Not a particular destination but the whole
world. As I am already planning next and
that's my only dream and goal of life.
BC: When do you think you'll stop riding?
Anytime soon?
NN: I ride to be myself, I ride to be happy, I
ride because I love travelling, it makes me
smile and I always want to be happy, so I
don't think I am going to stop it very soon.
BC: Any piece of advice you wish to give it
to other riders who are starting out riding?
Especially Female Riders?
NN: Never compromise with your dreams.
Always work hard and be focussed
towards your dreams because that is what
makes you happy and be yourself. Living
your dreams that makes you happy more
than anything else. Always take care of
your machine. Treat your bike as your
child and you will never face any problems
on roads. Always be safe and wear proper
riding gears during rides, because it's just
one life to live your dreams and you can
achieve it only if you are alive and healthy.
Be responsible and safe on roads. Be
happy and stay determined.
