I told him, "Why don't you think
about how you can best serve
others?" "Have you thought
about your passion and how it
can impact others positively,
while still having fun?"
A short while later, he found out
about a company that is
dedicated to helping those in
the community with medical
needs. He applied for the
position, went on an interview
and landed the job! His boss
told him weeks later that he
knew they had found the right
person as soon as my friend
walked through the door. Due to
his previous experience,
coupled with her positive
attitude and demeanor, my
friend felt that he would be an
asset to the company.
"He was not rejected
from the technology
company
he interviewed with;
he was re-directed to
something better."
Once we figure out how we can
best serve the world at large,
with our individual, unique
talents - magical things can
happen for us. Doors open just
for us sometimes suddenly and
swiftly. Other times, it seems
that it takes a long time to get
where you need to be, but that's
okay! Maybe you are being re-
directed to take a course or
seminar to help you fine-tune
your gift. Maybe you are being
re-directed to meet the right
person who can help you on
your path.
"Everyone, hang in
there! We've all got the
"X" factor!"
Without a doubt, almost all of us
face rejection at some point of
time in our lives. Whether it is
from family, friends, plans,
relationships, social engagement
or you were passed up for a
promotion, rejection hurts.
However, rejection also has a
way of teaching and re-directing
us in making our lives better.
"Every time I thought
I was being rejected
from something
good, I was actually
being redirected to
something better."
- Steve Maraboli
For some people, they take it as
a lesson to learn from, others
ignore it to avoid the pain, that
depends on our decision. How
we think, feel, perceive and
interpret things will have a
major impact on our behaviour.
We can accept rejections when
we have positive thinking and
encourage to deal with it. This
will crystallize our reactions
now and in the future.
