We shipped our bikes from Penang (Malaysia) on Mr. Lim's Boat. You need to email them in advance to book space for your bike. The boat leaves every Wednesday and it takes 5 days to reach Medan (Indonesia). You cannot accompany your bike on the boat. You have to pay an agent to receive your bike in Medan (Indonesia). A custom officer will accompany you to the warehouse where your bike has been stored, where he will check your bags, documents, chassis and engine numbers. After that you need to go to the customs office and get your carnet stamped. There is no payment at customs. You can use the ferry to travel with your bike between the many islands in Indonesia. The journeys usually takes 2 to 3 hours. We left our luggage on the bike while, we travelled on the deck of the ferry. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED AND COPYRIGHTED © WITH BIKERS CLUB NETWORK PRIVATE LIMITED.
