Two roads diverged in a wood, and I – I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.

Roads Less Traveled

CASCADE FALLS

Eight miles south of Hot Springs, artesian springs fill Cascade Creek with constantly warm and clear water at Cascade Falls. The clean, clear water of the falls originates about two miles upstream at Cascade Springs, where a series of six artesian springs feed warm, 67degree water into Cascade Creek. There is a small parking lot, restrooms and a picnic area. A trail and stairway connect the parking lot to the falls. The area is ideal for swimming or picnicking, but watch for poison ivy on the banks of the creek.

FALL RIVER

This yearround warm river runs through Hot Springs’ main street. The Freedom Trail, a walking trail, follows its route through town and a waterfall cascades from the red rock cliffs that line River Street. A gazebo covers a fountain offering the mineralrich water at Kidney Springs.
