I am 24 years old and from Oxfordshire . I have recently completed a master ’ s degree in Political Communication after a bachelor ’ s degree in Politics . I have always aspired to a career in public affairs and communications . It wasn ’ t until I came across the British Horseracing Development Programme however , that I realised I could pursue such a career within the industry of my favourite sport .
During the programme , I am looking forward to learning about the roles and interactions between the different stakeholders that shape the industry . From racehorse owners , to racecourses , to betting companies , to the media ; they all play a crucial role in this fantastic sport . Throughout my career , I hope to effectively communicate the importance of horseracing to lawmakers to enhance understanding and support for the industry . In turn , I hope this will help to improve and protect the future of the sport .

I ’ m 23 years old and from Northwich in the North West . I studied at the University of Chester graduating with a degree in International Business Management . After graduating , I took up a position at a virtual Internship in August 2020 with a small start-up as a Marketing Accounts Manager where I feel I ’ ve pieced together and developed my understanding of Marketing and customers . I have allegiances from NFL to Rugby League . However , my passion always lay with Racing , being from up North , iconic courses such as Chester and Aintree have been at the centre of my love for racing .
I ’ m excited to have the opportunity to apply my existing knowledge to the world of racing , specifically in Marketing , reaching new audiences and promoting the best of our fantastic sport . I ’ d love to hold an influential part of introducing new people to Racing , sharing my passion and contributing towards projects and campaigns to introduce the next generation of racegoers . careersinracing . com
