Isaac Allen-Harris
Great British Racing
I have recently completed a degree in marketing at Bristol UWE University . I developed a passion for racing ever since my dad took me to Ascot racecourse , as a kid . Then as I got older , I started to go to race-days with my friends , like the Shergar Cup , Royal Ascot , and Cheltenham Festival a couple of times . Cheltenham is definitely my favourite event on the horseracing calendar . Previously I completed a placement year in the videogames industry , working on 2K games predominantly , where I learned how to effectively support the director of marketing and the PR manager with various tasks . For example , collating coverage reports . I hope that some of the skills are transferable to this very exciting opportunity , getting to work for the Great British Racing . Where I have chance to learn about the marketing strategies used to grow interest and participation in the sport . My career aspirations in racing is to play an integral role in several marketing campaigns and projects , that contribute to making the sport ’ s future as bright and sustainable as possible .
Robert Bailey Horserace Betting Levy Board / British Racing School
I am 22 years old and I am currently at the University of Liverpool studying a masters in sports business and management . I am thrilled to have been accepted as part of the 2021 British Horseracing Development programme due to my life-long love for sport and horseracing . I have been lucky enough to have been going to point-to-points and race meetings for as long as I can remember as my family have been involved with the sport throughout their lives . Through this I have experienced the thrill of racing first-hand ! My overarching career ambition is to make a positive impact to the sport we all know and love . I am really looking forward to participating in the programme to further my knowledge and form new connections within the industry .
