From this story of Heidi Montag it is evident that the constant media attention and scrutiny was the cause of her transformation. Montag seemingly could not handle Hollywood’s idea of “beauty", which caused her to change her physical appearance to "fit in". This posed a serve risk on her physical health because of Montags ner death experience. However, Montag is not the only person that has been affected by the media. According to the study in “American Journal of Health Education” frequent readers of women’s magazines were more likely to participate in harmful behaviors and eating habits. The study showed that
