children, Youth & Family We asked youth, “As stewards, how do you care for the gifts that God gave you?” Here are some of their answers: “We care for our bodies by exercising, eating well, limiting screen time, showering, sleeping well, and interacting with other people who make us better. We go to church to be stewards of our spirits. We give our attention to our school work as stewards of our minds, and care for our health by taking medicine when we need to.” “We are responsible for pets. We have dogs, cats and fish, and we help care for them by feeding them, keeping their habitat clean, showing them love and getting them exercise.” “There are some objects that we take special care of, like our bikes, fishing rods or our phones, because they have value in our lives.” “We care for our habitats. We respect spaces like our rooms, our schools, and our earth by keeping them clean and actively feeling grateful for safe spaces where we dwell.” November Programming for Youth: • • • • • Nov. 6- Parent Summer Trip Mtg Nov. 13- Cinnamon Rolls Nov.19- Lutef isk Dinner Nov.20- Lutef isk Leftover Sales Nov.30- Parent Summer Trip Mtg Ongoing: Breakfast Club for 7th-12th grade 9:15 &10:30, MPLS 9:30 am, MTKA Confirmation for 7th-9th grade 6:30-7:45 pm, MPLS For more information on each of these events, visit bethlehem-church.org/ youth “With our parents, we share responsibility of caring for our siblings.
