Care Ministries Focused on... MENTAL HEALTH Bethlehem Lutheran Church Twin Cities has created relationships with Mt. Olivet Counseling and Westminster Counseling as a way to provide more mental health services to our congregation and the broader community. There is a great shortage of therapists and counselors in the Twin Cities. Our growing relationships with counseling centers provide us with more resources for individuals who are struggling with mental illness. Mt. Olivet Counseling Services help people work through their problems through the use of counseling, psychotherapy, and/or medication in a supportive Christian setting. Our therapists include two clinical psychologists and four marriage and family therapists, who offer therapy for children, adolescents, couples and families. A variety of therapy groups are also offered. We also have a consulting psychiatrist and a medical internist who provide medication management and assessment. Westminster Counseling Center integrates the spiritual and psychological dimensions of human experience to promote hope, strength, growth, and inherent self-worth through counseling, education, and mental health awareness for individuals, couples, and families regardless of their ability to pay. Westminster counselors appreciate and enjoy the rich diversity of people in terms of ethnicity, relationships, education, sexuality, sexual orientation, religion, age and life experience. Therapist Peter Bruhn is available for appointments on-site at the Minneapolis campus on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
