My first acquaintance with the Natura concept
was four years ago in Mykonos. I was impressed
both by the privileged location of Leto Hotel
providing an unobstructed view of Gialos from a
pool is surrounded by palm trees resembling the
Garden of Eden as well as by the creative intelli-
gence of chef Giorgos Koumpouris.
Therefore I ended up returning to this lovely
heavenly garden again this year to taste an
innovative degustation menu (a ritual with the
relevant wine pairing) from a brand-new card ori-
ented towards almost raw suggestions (Mediter-
ranean and fusion), a series of signature recipes
but also inspired dishes of the day!
Clearly inspired by his trips to Indonesia, the
nature he so much respects and the sea where he
spends most of his free time due to his second
greatest love, windsurfing, the chef introduced
a new concept he calls “natura fresh food sea
concept”! Herbs, sprouts, micro leaves and cool
dressings dress up with freshness all his dishes.
An excellent menu, without excessive padding,
where culinary clarity has a protagonist role.
Clear flavors with fusion influences, total respect
to the main ingredients, products of fine quality
and modern techniques result to dishes with an
effortless otherworldly taste.
In his hands the simplest and seemingly humblest
of ingredients take a sexy and playful turn. There-
fore, Natura has achieved to live up to the expec-
tations of a highly demanding and cosmopolitan
crowd arriving to the island every summer! True
to its motto “nature is the best chef”, Giorgos
Koumpouris’s main objective is to showcase the
authentic flavor of the ingredients showing them
the appropriate respect during cooking.
The dishes of this year’s card cause gradual little
explosions in our palette creative everlasting
memories and culinary seductions.
All the ritual is accompanied by a rather intrigu-
ing wine list and the brand new natura cocktail
list! As for dessert, this is one of those times
you ought to save some room for an experience
which will grant you some of the most delicious
memories!
Tip: If you are incurably romantic, this year you
have the opportunity to enjoy a sunset menu
(19:00-20:15) choosing between Mediterranean
and fusion menu (€65 and €80 respectively) for a
small yet rather representative taste.
