Centrally located in Chalandri, the all day bistro
Chapeau welcomes us in Ameli’s world. In its second
year of operation we find it beautifully renovated, an
outcome of the partnership of businesswoman Voula
Rakopoulou with the known and talented chef Giannis
Stanitsas, whose course in the field has been long
and bright. The result? A promising French menu. The
wind of change has also blown towards the bar, which
has been taken over by Antonis Petrakakis, who
amongst others, has also prepared an exceptional
list of aperitivo (18:00-22:00), which perfectly
escorts food, a signature cocktail list and a selection
of wines from the Greek and international vineyard.
The design has a few but very interesting changes,
such as the open roof and the plants, the vivid colors
and the friendly cozy corners, the imposing bar and
the vintage details! This setting is the background
of a unique experience with a sense of Montmartre,
where in-house beverages and coffees are served
early in the morning along with boulangerie options,
breakfast suggestions and snacks from yogurt with
super foods, eggs Benedict or poached to bagels
with tartine croquet madame and quiche lorraine. On
the other hand, the new petit bistro menu presents
fine delicacies such as the sea bass fillet poached
with quinoa, sauce vermouth and fried caper and the
entrecôte (Cafe de Paris or sauce Perigourdine) with
potatoes port nef. Of course, don’t miss to try some
of its fine desserts which are placed on the window
case of the patisserie, such as the lemon tart with lime
and the verrine with cream cheese and red fruits. All
these perfectly blending together with lounge music
and casual atmosphere travelling us to Paris... Daily
10:00-00:00 (the kitchen).
