Taste your way to better health with the Dining Experience Café Style Forest Park Medical Center takes pride in breaking the stereotype of typical hospital food. Each location houses a café style setting with cooked-to-order meals by an on-site chef and kitchen staff. Joe Jones, the Dining Service Director, in Southlake, says, “We want our guest to feel like ‘You know what? This is unbelievable!’ and that it’s not the usual hospital food.” Made from scratch Every meal prepared at Forest Park Medical Center is made from scratch. The chef and kitchen staff uses only fresh products and original recipes. You will not find any ingredients come from a can. “One of our goals is to buy local products when they are available, such as produce and cheese,” says Kevin Neff, the executive chef in Frisco. “This allows us to use the highest quality of products for our meals.” On-site Dietitians Each hospital has personal dietitians on staff to not only meet the dietary needs of the patients, but also to consider the needs for visiting family members and other guest. other staff members that work with them of how good the food is, since our menu is not the typical hospital fare.” Works of Art The menu at each Forest Park Medical Center café changes daily. Our chef has an eye for making your food look so pretty, yet edible at the same time.” Innovative food Forest Park Medical Center puts forth every effort to be innovative with their food, providing cost efficient and high quality meals for those who choose to dine in the café. “I have this saying that if it’s not done in the spirit of excellence, we won’t serve it,” says Jones.
