1. Premiums in the Dairy Cow section apply to Brown Swiss, Jersey, Guernsey, Holstein, Milking Shorthorn and Ayrshire breeds of cattle.
2. All exhibitors must be a resident of Benton County at the time of nomination / entry as well as time of the fair by entering any projects in the Benton County Fair in Arkansas, you acknowledge that you have not and will not exhibit any projects( livestock, crafts, canned goods, etc.) in any county fair in this calendar year. 3. All cattle must have registration papers. 4. All cattle must be polled or dehorned. 5. All open / jr show dairy cattle must have registration papers. Registration papers must be presented when checking in cattle. No pending papers. 6. Animals must meet breed standards to show. 7. All cattle must be checked in Superintendents book by 12pm on Monday, September 22. 8. Stalls will be assigned and marked. 9. Health papers, check current state rules at www. agriculture. arkansas. gov 10. All animals must be properly fitted to show, animals must be kept under control in the show ring. Any unruly animal may be excused at the Superintendents discretion. 11. Open / Jr show exhibitors will be limited to two entries in each class. 12. Pee Wee Showmanship exhibitors ages 8 years and younger. 13. Dry Cows must have completed one lactation. 14. All Junior dairy cattle are eligible for the premium sale providing they meet the sale committees’ guidelines.
15. Exhibitors will not be allowed to enter and pay for extra stall spaces. Exhibitors will receive one stall space per animal even if extra stall space is purchased. Every effort will be made to provide an extra stall for each exhibitor. Tack aisles are available to store feed and supplies. If you are bringing fewer cattle than you entered, please contact the superintendent of this department. This will allow stall assignments to be adjusted accordingly prior to the beginning of the fair rather than upon your arrival.
16. All animals will be inspected INSIDE the trailer prior to entering the barn area. If any animals on the trailer are contagious the ENTIRE trailer will be sent home immediately.
