YOUTH SHOOTING & ARCHERY CONTEST
For a measurement of 19.05mm, divided by 10 would equal 1.905cm. 50 minus 1.905 = 48.095 Shooting score would be 48.095 For a measurement of 76.20mm, divide by 10 would equal 7.620cm 50 minus 7.620 = 42.380 Shooting score would be 42.380
6. Highest total score of the written test and shooting score combined will determine the winner. In the event of a tie combined score the highest test score will determine the winner. The highest shooting score will be the second tie breaker, if still a tie then starting at question number 1. On the test the first participant to have a wrong answer is the lower placing individual. If after all questions have been checked and a tie still exists, then a coin toss will determine the winner.

5-Spot Archery Contest Junior division is open to all youth ages 9-13 as of January 1st of this year. Senior division is open to all youth ages 14-18 as of January 1st of this year.
This activity will consist of two parts:
1. A general archery safety session where these topics will be discussed: a. Archery safety rules. b. Basic instruction on how to properly shoot the bow provided. c. Archery range procedure.
2. Target shooting- Each participant will shoot five arrows, one at each of the five bulls on the 5-spot target. a. The target used will be a NFAA 5-spot target or equivalent. b. Shooting distance will be 15 yards. c. For this contest scoring will be as follows: X-ring will be scored as a 10X. Next ring out will be scored as a 10. Next ring out will be scored as an 8. Next ring out will be scored as a 5. Shots outside the scoring rings will be scored as a 0. d. If the arrows touch a ring it is valued at the higher score. e. All equipment will be provided. f. All shots will be shot without use of a release.
ALL EQUIPMENT WILL BE PROVIDED! Absolutely NO PERSONAL EQUIPMENT ALLOWED on Benton County Fair Association property.
