INTERVIEWS SCIENTISTS
Q & A : AURORA VILLAGRA
Aurora Villagra is studying biology.
In what research are you interested in?
I'm interested in conservation and environmental
impact. Specifically how we, as society are affecting
nature from simplest to complicated components.
How did you got interested in science?
Hard one. I remember I loved -and still love- reading.
And this habit was nourished by my parents. Also, my
mom is a Biologist and she used to take us outside to
collect samples of plants, insects, etc. Basically, the
best moments of my childhood rooted my curiosity for
nature.
BEST ABOUT YOUR CURRENT
WORK
I'm a busy English Teacher that likes People, Whether
they are kids or adults I learn something new every
day. Freedom at my workplace allows me to teach
science to kids and take full advantage to teach them
love and not fear of Science.
As a Biology student, I love everything related to
nature and environment, so, while I finish my Major I'm
like Hanna Montana, I get the best of both worlds!
Q & A : NATI SEGOVIA
Natalia Segovia has recently graduated from
Environmental Engineer
LINE OF RESEARCH
“ I love solving environmental issues and
working with children."
BECOMING A SCIENTIST
“First, I wanted to be a veterinarian, then a
biologist, and finally I found my carreer. I think I
was always interested in nature .”
BEST ABOUT YOUR CURRENT
WORK
What I love about what I do today at the SC is to
be part of a teaching methodology that allows
kids to be more critical, curiouss and
enthusiastic about science .. and still allow me
to learn.
