For today’ s Week 9 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals, the Jaguars will wear teal jerseys for the first time since Oct. 20, 2013. The teal takeover of Jacksonville started two weeks ago just after the team’ s victory on the road at Indianapolis. The team introduced # FOREVERTEAL and began inviting fans to sport the color for today’ s annual homecoming game.
“ The history of this football team features teal, and the color invokes many great memories for Jaguars fans,” said Jaguars Executive Vice President of Football Operations Tom Coughlin.“ For a special occasion like our annual Homecoming game it’ s appropriate to bring back teal along with our alumni players. We’ re encouraging our fans to wear teal on game day and help give us a true home field advantage.”
