Bishop Linda’s Bible Challenge
Bragging rights go to all of you who have stayed current to date. If you are
struggling a bit let me know if a “we need to read together over coffee”
group some time next week would help.
Church Community Barbecue
Sunday September 7th
The date has been confirmed for this Ministerial sponsored event. Last
year’s debut was so well received that we are going to keep the gathering
going. A lot more detail will follow. There is a rumor that the Havelock
Jammers will be a part of it all!
Local Farmer’s Markets
The number of local markets available for shopping locally is growing.
Apart from Peterborough, Keene, Hastings, Campbellford, Lakefield and
Marmora are all now open. We are hoping to have a list of days and
locations available next week.
Havelock Community Garden
We learned on Thursday, with great regret, that this project has been
cancelled and members of the committee submitted their resignations to
Council. Thank you to those who worked very hard to provide a place for
members of the community to grow some healthy foods, not to mention
some conversation and a little exercise. It is a loss.
Building Inspections
Parishes in Trent Durham are required to have all of their church buildings
inspected in 2014. Arrangements are under way to have that happen in
Belmont now that the weather is a little friendlier for climbing on roofs
and the like.
Facebook
