Editor’ s Foreword
Welcome to the Autumn Edition of BellTIME Magazine. We hope you all enjoyed the Summer Holidays and are ready to embrace all the opportunities that the new term holds. There is a lot of exciting activity taking place this year for schools and we would like to draw your attention to a couple of great initiatives we think you may be interested in.
AIB Build a Bank Challenge for Secondary Schools is up and running and is an enjoyable and exciting way for Transition and 5th Year Students to run their own School Bank, win great prizes, and be introduced to the world of banking and business – for more information check out https:// aib. ie / build-a-bank & register your interest by emailing buildabank @ realnation. ie
Now in it’ s 4th year, the Bord Gáis Energy Student Theatre Awards gives students, teachers and schools a chance to be recognised and rewarded for their participation in the dramatic arts. We know that in every school there are budding actors, singers, dancers, choreographers and writers and Bord Gais Energy want to celebrate them! – check them out on https:// www. bordgaisenergystudenttheatreawards. ie and you can use the registration form included in the magazine on page 81 / 82 to enter.
Finally, after 6 nationwide editions of BellTime Magazine and a lot of organizing in the background we would like to invite all senior cycle sector students and their teachers to our very own“ School Summit” taking place in The National Show Centre, Swords, Co. Dublin- 11th & 12th September 2017. The event will take place over a 2 day period and will offer all senior cycle sector students and their teachers the opportunity to engage, explore and experience the many opportunities and resources that are available to them. With over 100 exhibitors from our existing database of clients attending the event & influential speakers from both home and abroad, School Summit 2017 promises to take you to the highest point of the school year.
