Take care for knits

Wash them inside out to avoid surfaces from rubbing against other pieces. This will minimize pulling of yarn or thread.

Don’ t wash your clothes too often

Not more than necessary. Washing is damaging and some clothes need not be washed every time they were worn, unless spots and dirt are visible.

Keep zippers working

Rub the zipper teeth occasionally with wax to keep the zipper working smoothly. The stub of a candle works well for this procedure.

Don’ t overload your machine

Make sure your garments have plenty of room to move around within the water to get thoroughly clean and eliminate creases. Turn your clothes inside out to protect the side that counts.

Don’ t be too generous

Using too much washing powder or liquid won’ t wash any better and the excess can end up clogged in your clothes.

Do not use dryer

It wears out fabric quickly. It also sets stains and makes seams twist and some hems turn upwards. Natural drying is much better and more gentler to your clothes.

Best ironing

Iron your clothes inside out to preserve their color and avoid‘ iron shine.’

Keep the clothes organized

Keep storage bins and racks out of direct sunlight, which fades colors. Hang what you don’ t want to wrinkle( jackets, blouses, shirts, dresses, etc.) and fold what you don’ t want to stretch out( T-shirts, sweaters, knits). Use a closet perfume to keep it smell fresh.
