Creative & Critical development

Children at this age are just starting to expand on the ideas of their own personal movement and most behaviour is egocentric. They build on their basic understanding of using their senses to feel, see, hear and taste to make connections and explore. When something is taken away out of sight it is as though it ceased to exist, though this is not true they are still developing and are assessing the environment around them. Children will link objects together based of their observations of colour, flavour, texture or sound.

They chuck, hit and through objects and can observe that they wont always stay in the shape. As babies and toddlers cant verbalise words in a way of being understood or know right from wrong. These first two years are where they will start to grow on basic knowledge and perform basic critical and creative thinking at their level of development.
