BISD MOVES FORWARD WITH BOND INITIATIVE , CONSTRUCTION IS ‘ JUST AROUND THE CORNER ’
The BISD bond for 24 million dollars to upgrade and build academic and athletic facilities passed last fall . The first time the bond was presented in May of 2022 , it did not pass . The district changed a few details and presented the bond for the second time in November last year and the bond was passed . Since then , the District has been working on multiple projects to add additions to BISD .

“ There has been a lot going on behind the scenes with the bond projects that were approved by voters in November 2022 ,” Superintendent , Dr . Keri Hampton said . “ Construction drawings will be complete in May with the projects going out for bid in June and we expect contractors to begin construction late this summer .
