INTER-HOUSE THEATRE SPORTS AARYAN AMAR, YEAR 6 Beacon Academy’s annual inter-house theatre sport was held on April 4, 2014. Students were eager to use their imagination and creativity. On April 3, 2014, all students lined up (by houses) for different games according to their year levels to play during theatre sports. For Year 1s to 3s, there were games like the alphabet game and noisemakers. Some games that the Year 4s to 5s got to engage in were American Idol and ‘be something’. The Year 6s, 7s, and 8s got to enjoy other entertaining games like Freeze Tag; Sit, Stand, Bend; and Be Something, Move Something. All the games that the Beacon Academy students played let the students use creativity with their movement or bodies, and their minds. = The event began with Mr Mark Lai doing a great job in getting the students to engage in a remarkable warm-up dance that all the students enjoyed doing. Then, Ms Maggie started explaining what was going to happen and soon later the first game began while the judges watched, critiquing the students’ performance by each house until the end when all these scores would add up to answer the question - which house will win inter-house theatre sports? All the games went by with students and teachers watching the performances and marvelling at the talent that students of Beacon Academy has, until finally, it was the time that judges would announce the winner of interhouse theatre sports. The entire group of house captains got their house flags and waited to find out the winner. All the students and teachers eagerly waited.
