Be Made Whole 6 | Page 18

1) You must know that you are God Produced. If you are unaware that God made you and with the best material ever (God's self), you will live beneath your promise. You are perfect just the way you are because God doesn't make mistakes and God made you.

2) You are God positioned. This means that you were not created to be beneath anyone else. You are created to be equal with mankind and a subduer over all the earth. God positioned you in the beginning in a place of authority and you must learn to walk on that path unapologetically.

3) You must know that you are God-Purposed ~ above everything else you must understand your purpose in life. What is your raison d'ĂȘtre or reason for being? Find your purpose and satisfaction and joy will accompany it.

4) You must be God Partnered ~ It is critical that you understand your friends speak to who you are and they are the elevators of your existence. They will either take you up or pull you down. Get and stay around positive people.

5) You must be God Empowered. When we allow EGO to make us think that we have achieved what we have achieved or arrived where we are on our own we make a fatal error. Our power, our blessings come from God. We must remain in a posture of thanksgiving to God. When we are God Empowered (because we recognize the source of our blessings) we are not easily shaken, disrupted of torn asunder.

I am most proud of my accomplishment as a mother of two young adults. As a Licensed Therapist I work with young people and their families to assist them in succeeding in the home, school and community. I could not be fully impactful in my work if I had not been privileged with the task of rearing two children to adulthood. I would also say I'm extremely proud of attaining four earned degrees and never letting go of my dreams and vision of being an owner of a private practice.

During my matriculation at the Interdenominational Theology Center I was able to learn from some of the best theologians in the US. One of the many professors that left an imprint on my future was Rev. Dr. Lisa M. Tait. She demonstrated elegance, poise, and grace through her character and daily walk. Her intellectual capability and her willingness to share her knowledge with her students was uncanny. Her caring spirit made learning easy and she pushed her students to be great. Not only is Dr. Tait an exemplary educator, she is a powerhouse preacher who rightly divides the Word. Dr. Lisa Trait exemplifies the definition of a Power Woman.

I found it only fitting to interview Dr. Tait in order for her to share her profound wisdom with the readers of Be Made Whole. Even in the interview I found her words to be enlightening, electrifying, and empowering!

With all of your accomplishments, which accomplishments are you most proud of?

Words of Encouragement to a woman of destiny!

Dr. Lisa M. Tait

an interview by Amanda R. Butler, M.Div.

What drives you to keep breaking barriers and achieving your goals?

I would say the number one thing that drives me to keep breaking barriers is a working knowledge of fulfilling my God purpose. I believe everyone has a purpose in life. Our job is to discover that purpose and then walk fully in that purpose. Knowing that God has knit "purpose" into the fabric of my being and given me the strength to fulfill my destiny keeps me focused and driven. I refuse to allow the vicissitudes of life to discourage or pull me down. Knowing that what I do each day is bigger than the car I drive, the clothes I wear, or the home I live in pushes me to strive for excellence in all that I do. I'm not working for things, I'm working to please God.
