Capresha D. Caldwell is originally from South Carolina. At an early age, she was inspired by a family member to keep education a priority. She loved and excelled in school. While in college her life changed. She was in an almost fatal car accident resulting in numerous injuries and had to live on life support for a period of time. But God had a purpose for her life. He healed her body and restored her ability to breath, walk and talk again. Since this incident occurred when she was 19, she realized that tomorrow was not promised and that youth did not equal immortality. The Lord was drawing her by His Spirit and she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. After her full recovery, she returned to college and was zealous in her new found Christian faith. Capresha served as a leader with a campus Christian ministry, Abundant Life in Christ. She was the Director for the women’s group, Restored Resurrected Anointed Women of God (RRAW). God blessed her to complete her studies and she received a B.A. in English from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC. Following graduation, she was a teacher in a Christian school in Charlotte, NC.
God gave her the desire of her heart and she was able pursue legal studies and graduated from The University of Tennessee College of Law. While in law school, she served as the Co-chair for the Christian Legal Society local chapter and helped teach the weekly Bible Studies. Law school was challenging and God blessed her with a prayer partner in the first year of law school. They continued to seek the face, direction and strength of God for all three years. What God begins, He surely completes. He blessed her to successfully complete the bar exam. She is a licensed attorney in North Carolina. After graduation from law school, the Lord led her to Maryland. She has had a successful career in Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) at the federal and state government level for approximately 10 years.
After fasting and praying, she received her calling to the ministry – “ . . .For many are called, but few chosen.” Matthew 20:16 (NKJV). In 2009, Capresha received her ministerial license at Faithful and True Christian Center in Burtonsville, Maryland, under the leadership of Pastor A. Troy Harrison and served as the Director of the Discipleship Training Program and Director of Members Care. She also served as an attorney volunteer for Good Samaritan Advocates, a Christian organization offering free legal advice. In 2013, she received an Associate’s Degree in Biblical Studies from More Than Conquerors College in Charlotte, NC. In the same year, the Lord led her to return to North Carolina, and as an act of faith she walked away from everything in Maryland. God is showing Himself faithful. She currently resides in Charlotte, NC and is a minister at Centrifuge Church in Charlotte, North Carolina under the leadership of Pastor Travis D. Newkirk.
Capresha has a heart for women and desires to Minister to the Whole Woman, so they may be complete in Christ. She ministers to women through hosting book clubs, prayer circles, weekly email devotionals and speaking at events. One of her favorite scriptures is Proverbs 3:5 – 6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” You can contact Capresha at [email protected]
