BE INSPRED, JANUARY 2014

FROM THE EDITOR
January is a time for New Year’s
Resolutions. It’s the time when people
make success goals. The most common
resolutions involve weight loss, exercise,
quitting a bad habit, spending more time
with family, or working towards a grand
something. But the questions that also
arises during this time of year are, “Do
New Year’s Resolutions work? Is it worth
having one? Can I do it?” The answer of
course is, “Yes;” if you are
willing to commit to
changing how you
prioritize things
in your life and
celebrate each
accomplishment.
When it comes to
making priorities,
things have to be
placed in order. You might
have to give up comforts that’s been
making you feel relaxed for a long while.
For example, you might have to get up
earlier in the day to lose weight, reduce
your time watching TV, reduce social
connections on the internet, talking idly
on the phone, etc. to make time for your
goals. This could mean setting getting
together with family to appointments, or
schedule time, to do what you want and
reduce dissention in your home.
Dani Johnson said it best when she
provided her list of priorities by order of
hierarchy God husband children
work hobby. If you don’t agree
with what I’ve discovered, that’s
perfectly okay. For me, I wished that
I would have done this sooner,
and believe me when I say
Arlene
that it’s definitely helped
Summers
with my learning curve.

Success comes from being
able to celebrate small goals
that lead to a major dream. That is what
makes a person who is determined
to make a change start the New Year
successfully. Why because you make a
choice to stop the insanity by doing the
same thing over and over and over again
expecting a different result. You have to
understand that not quitting will direct
you to the “new you I wish you much
success with your resolutions.
