3 . Ownership of my concern
� If the purpose of the conversation is to seek assistance , it is always best to verbalize that you are there to help him or her and that you will stay until it is resolved . You will know that the purpose of the conversation is to seek assistance if you listened and you understood what the other person said when s / he initiated the conversation .
4 . Resolution Speed
� If we listened to the other person when the conversation started , you will hear as well the emotion of the person . Does s / he require immediate assistance ? Can you provide the assistance that s / he need ? If yes , help him or her right away . If not , it is best to say it directly to him or her to avoid wasting his or her time but don ’ t forget to back it up with options . If you are a representative , you may need to refer your customer to your supervisor or to other department . If you are a friend , you may need to recommend another person in your circle of friends who can relate to his or her concern or probably have more knowledge about what s / he needs .
5 . Communicated information clearly � Be concise . Be short and direct to avoid miscommunication . Most of the time in today ’ s generation , we listen to respond and not to understand . By being concise in what you say , you can avoid miscommunication because you ’ re sending the message directly to the person that you are talking to .
6 . Feel valued � Showing that you care to the person that you are talking to is enough to cover this part . By simply saying that you understand them and helping them , they will feel that you care . They will feel valued .
These are just the common things that make the person that we are talking to satisfied . It may sound easy to make them satisfied as you read it but for others it may be challenging . Keep these in mind and always consider it when dealing with the people around you .
