A
NINE
YEAR OLD BOY’S NIGHT-
MARE!
What would you do if there was an incident that could possibly put someone to death? What if that someone is extremely loud and incredibly close to you? A novel entitled “Extremely loud and Incredibly close” written by Jonathan Safran Foer and the version of its movie directed by Stephen Daldry, starring Thomas Horn, Tom Hanks, Sandra Bullock, Max Von Sydow, Viola Davis, John Goodman, Jeffrey Wright and Zoe Caldwell talks about a body that seems to be falling from the sky, alluding to people who fell or jumped from the World Trade Center.
This movie-tied-in-novel shows how the tragedy of September 11, 2001 has affected the life of a young boy by taking his father’s life; an incident that can destroy not only one, but thousands of lives. A story about a nine-year-old amateur inventor, Francophile, and pacifist who searched New York City for the lock that matches a mysterious key left behind by his father, who died in the World Trade Center on that exact date and was considered by the little boy as the worst day of his life. Focus your eyes on it, either by reading or watching it, in order to witness and admire how startling it is for a young boy to manage unlocking the mystery of a key in his father’s closet!
