Whoa! Big word isn’t it? Yeah. Sympathize with me, young buddy! When I first heard about it, I was like, “Ano? About gadgets yung blog namin. How will I connect my post to that theme?!”
Well, I’m not saying that this week’s theme is not compatible with our blog. It’s just that, I cannot think of other Filipino-made gadget, except from Myphone! Ahhhh! Poor me! :(
But because fate is on my side, I came up with this wonderful gadget. Actually, I have this as my phone. But ugh! I never knew it was designed by Filipinos. -_-
This gadget I’m talking about is the STARMOBILE DIAMOND Android phone. Anyone here familiar with the Samsung Android phone series? Hmm… I presume most of you do. Well, Starmobile Diamond can be compared to those, ’cause I might say that it was pretty much alike. It has also some features from Sony Phones, as I’ve observed.
I remember when my brother and my Mom was about to buy me a new phone…
Having few knowledge about gadgets, I just told them, “SIge. Bilhin nyo kahit ano. Basta malinaw yung camera.”
Then, when they got home, they gave me the box containing the phone. It was a bit huge, with it’s 5.0-inch LCD display screen. But it still fits in my hand, so I had no problem about that. :)
I checked for its features…
First was its sensitivity when touched. I remember my reason for not liking any Filipino or China phones before— it’s because they’re not easy to touch or “soft touch”.
Next was the camera, of course…
I was amazed, seriously, because of its “sharpness”. Photos taken using it were outstanding. It’s very clear, and is not pixelated. Plus, it has both rear and front-facing cameras!
In the end, I had no dislike on the phones designed by Filipinos. After having this cool phone, I can say that, innovation now begins in the Filipinos. And yes! It is something that we should all be proud of.
