CAREERS HUB Opening doors to a new wave of talent with BCF’s Coatings Careers Hub A BCF member benefit was introduced in March, as part of the Federation’s continued drive to promote the coatings, printing inks and wallcovering industries to the next generation of talent. Through the BCF’s Coatings Careers Hub, both Full and Associate members now have access to a new digital resource to post job vacancies and connect with potential recruits. The creation of the hub marks an innovative step for the industry in a busy, and at times, crowded digital age providing a platform that promotes job vacancies exclusively for BCF member companies. The hub allows BCF members to advertise their vacancies for free and access a database of uploaded CV’s from job seekers keen to pursue a career in the industry. The jobs board is specifically designed to be simpler for candidates to view available vacancies within the industry and apply directly to them. It flexibly presents varied job roles, sorted by their specialisms, as well as apprenticeship schemes, placement and internship opportunities. This way, job seekers are able to find what best suits their needs. 48 The hub includes information as to why candidates should consider a career in our sector, and member companies who have listed vacancies are also profiled, which enables the job postings to be as informative as they are accessible. The hub will help grow the profile and public awareness of the coatings, printing inks and wallcoverings industries, and at the same time help fill BCF member job vacancies with the best candidates.
