BBYO International Convention 2016 Program Guide | Seite 29

Stand UP: Veterans Affairs and Civil Service, Johns Hopkins University ROTC Soldiers embrace the values of loyalty, respect, selfless service, honor and courage as they train to be exemplary citizens and proud patriots. Our cherished Orders of AZA and BBG are built upon much of the same principles of citizenship, patriotism and service to the world around us. In this track, meet with men and women currently serving in the United States Armed Forces (many of whom were motivated by Jewish values to serve) to hear their stories, engage in drills and training activities and learn how to support veterans who are acclimating in your local communities after a long time away from home. Their commitment to duty is an inspiring lesson in public service and personal sacrifice. You are invited to spend some time with those working to keep the world safe and at peace. Spend the day learning beside real life heroes. Facilitators: Cpt. Robert Epstein, U.S. Marine Corps; Dr. Bonnie Hartstein, Chief of Family and Community Medicine, Brooke Army Medical Center; John Hopkins University ROTC Members; Cpt.
