Stand UP: Civil Rights, Lewis Museum

The history of our host community, Baltimore, is deeply rooted in civil rights. Join the leadership
of the Reginald F. Lewis Museum for an in-depth look into how the Civil Rights Movement in
Baltimore has evolved – from the March on Washington and the desegregation of amusement
parks, to the recent Baltimore uprisings and citywide citizen actions advocating for increased
socioeconomic, racial and cultural equality. Hear from front-line activists involved in these events
and get an understanding of the role you can play in creating positive change for all people.

For over a century, the NAACP has worked tirelessly to secure victories in the ongoing struggle
for justice and equality in America. Founded on February 12, 1909, the NAACP will be joining the
leaders of our movement to teach about the countless strides that have been made toward civic
equality – on their Founders' Day. As a united community, Alephs and BBGs will receive training
from members of the nation’s oldest and largest civil rights organization on their proven strategies
of social advocacy and engagement.

Stand UP: Environmental Protection and Conservation, National Aquarium

The National Aquarium in Baltimore is known around the world as one of the best locations to get
up close and personal with marine life. You’ll get to do just that by participating in an exclusive
behind the scenes tour showcasing sharks and the wildlife of earth’s rainforests. You’ll also explore
veterinary best practices and the ocean’s revered coral reefs. Hear from experts on the aquarium’s
conservation management team to get up to speed on the most relevant topics in environmental
advocacy and what you can do to amplify your impact in this area of service.
