Day two saw all of us back in the river section.
The conditions have changed to overcast with a
cool breeze. We both managed to get a quick limit
on spinnerbait and horny toad. Kobus changed to
a swim jig with a swimsenko as trailer and really
starting putting fish in the boat. At around 9:30
the fishing switched off, due to all the pressure,
Kobus changed to a 5” Swim Senko in watermelon
Gold rigged with a 1/16oz tungsten weight, which
he swam back to the boat. He was the only one
catching fish at this time. I followed and soon was
boating fish again.
Hot spots:
We found 2 very small areas in the river that
was loaded with fish. We would get 3-5 fish on
every passing. These two areas had one thing in
common they were both sitting on channel bends
with scattered weed on the edge of the channel.
Best techniques:
All our fish was taken on the following reaction
lures, Black Horny Toad, War Eagle Flash
Spinnerbaits, White Strike King Swim Jig and 5”
Watermelon Gold Yamamoto Swimsenko.
