BUDGET FIND We saved by purchasing the white desk used and having it spray painted. CALMING COLOR When it came to choosing a color scheme, the goal was to create a calm and relaxing feel which is accomplished with a mostly neutral palette of gray, cream, brown and green. Two original paintings by Linelle LeMoine hang on either side of the room, near each desk, setting off the color scheme and bringing in a sophisticated feel to the overall design. B A S E M E N T S TA G I N G T I P S Showcasing the basement as usable space gives the impression of more living space in your home. Ensure that all rooms are properly staged, even those you are not currently using. Don’t forget storage spaces. Storage spaces are easily forgotten but they should be decluttered and organized. A storage room that is over-full or unorganized gives the impression that the house is not large enough. Finished or unfinished, no one feels good in a dark and dingy space. Make sure your basement is well lit, clean and organized even if it is an unfinished space.
