Malaysian airline flight 370 was on course to Beijing from Malaysia when about 2 hours into the flight the airline loses contact with the plane.

Now search teams from over seven countries are now searching for the missing airplane. While searching for the plane search teams have gotten signals from the possible blackbox of the airplane. Two signals where heard from an Australian Ocean Shield. The longest signal lasted for 2 hours and 20 minutes and the second signal lasted only 13 minutes. These two signals were found 2.8 miles under the ocean. After going off radar the plane made six exchanges with a satellite before completely disappearing. According to Houston the sixth and last blimp should be the approximate location of where the airplane would have run out of fuel.

During the hunt to find the missing jet, multiple pieces suspected to be from the airplane were found. They were a piece of metal found on the shore of australia, a seat, and a long oil slick. All of these were found to be not from the airplane.

The missing people’s families from the flight have been issued death certificates. This has caused potential lawsuits against the airline. Government officials are trying to give financial aid to the families suffering from there loses.

Search teams now are expanding their search area to a wider area. The search becomes more extensive and harder as the black boxes battery starts to die out. The black box emits a signal that the search teams are looking for, and is the battery dies it won't emit signals making the search much harder.
