Every year, Director Leah Scalzo and the Barkalow Players work for countless hours in preparation to present their renowned musical for Barkalow to enjoy. This year they will perform “High School Musical Jr”! High School Musical is a story about two totally different teens, Troy Bolton (played by Danny Scerbo) and Gabriella Montez (played by Francesca Lodico), who are introduced to each other on winter vacation at a New Year’s Eve karaoke party. They are surprised to meet up again at high school later that week. This thrilling musical stars kids from different cliques breaking from the “Status Quo”. Chad Danforth, a jock, (played by Luke Dinonno) and Taylor Mckessie, a brainiac, (played by Anna Juliano) join forces to overcome Sharpay and Ryan Evans, the presidents of the drama club, (played by Riley Martin and Ben Carino) to help save their friends. Also, Autumn Dolinger and Dan Studer play Kelsi Nielsen and Jack Scott.
“High School Musical Jr.” will be performed for Barkalow twice during the school day on May 14, 2014. It will also be performed for family and friends on May 15 and 16 at 7:00 P.M. Keep an eye out for information regarding the upcoming shows!
