Yellow/Green
Yellow/green foods allow us to
see things more clearly as we age.
One aspect of the body that also
deteriorates with age is muscle massand this can be seen very clearly in
arm strength. To counter this- it
is important to keep up your arm
strength with basic exercises such as
the Superman push-up.
Begin with your arms extended in
front of you, lying on your stomach.
Bring you arms around your body
and place your hands just below your
shoulders under your chest. Push
up from your chest until you reach a
straight arm plank position, hold for
two counts and lower back down to
starting position.
Easier: Keep your knees on the
ground while doing the exercise- it is
important however to still keep your
body in a straight line.
Difficult: Extend alternating
legs behind you while doing the
movement- this will also engage your
core more actively.
