Linlay Pierre Pierre Noodles Born 50 years ago in Trou Aux Biches, Linlay grew up just like any other Mauritian boy: swimming in the ocean and fishing with his friends. “I had only one passion, soccer. My dream was to be a professional soccer player and go abroad. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. I sustained a terrible injury while on training for my national team debut in Kampala, Uganda. I was never to play again.” But life had to go on. “I worked for a handicraft shop in Caudan Waterfront in Port Louis. I started from the bottom as a security guard and rose up to become a salesperson. I stayed there for 17 years until the shop closed.’’
