Know thyself

As a young or aspiring entrepreneur, your have faced and will face many rejections. You probably doubted yourself and your skills. But did you know that most of the times the rejections had nothing to do with your capabilities but had everything to do with your credibility?

Many entrepreneurs lack personal branding which results in failure. They forget that people would rather interact with people than corporate brands.
Fear not; you don’ t need to be a marketing expert to brand yourself. All that you need is to keep reading this article.
The first step in creating a personal brand for people to know is to know yourself. Although many individuals are tempted to skip this part, you shouldn’ t. Personal branding is about real assets and qualifications that you have. Unravel these assets with a high level of awareness. As a starter, you can look to what your entourage think of you and how you think of yourself. Then, do your SWOT * analysis joined with intensive introspections and after that, take the time to reflect deeply on where you are and where you want to be. Ask yourself the right questions. Look into anything that distinguishes you from others. If nothing is unique about you, that’ s unique itself. Brand it.

Be the expert

If being an expert does not make you credible, I don’ t know what does. The best way to be an expert is to align your domain of expertise with your passion. Like Mark Manson says, find what you love and let it kill you! Be so passionate about an industry that you will end up being the magnet. The magnet that attracts everyone around you, the go-to person. Educate yourself about that industry, talk about it and live it in your daily life. Go even further and breathe it, make it your oxygen. Once you are an expert, whether people like you or not they will eventually come to you( true story). However, avoid having a mismatch
