It seems to you that art goes beyond passion and is embedded within, how do you express the art in your heart and make it real and alive to the next person?
I tend to let go in every poem I write. I allow my audience to feel what I feel. For every poem that I write, I ensure that I bring it home to the everyday experiences of my audience. For example, I’ m talking about pain; I paint the pain. I make it come alive. I personify it; I breathe life into it. It’ s more like reliving the moment that inspired me to write the poem I am reciting then. In such moments, I feel like I can rewind time. I call it time travel with my emotions.
My opinionated art is my masterpiece to the world, and I will continue to define what’ s my definition of a masterpiece in every poem I write.
What makes us human is our ability to feel intense emotions. I go out onto the stage, and I bring that out. I always value my everyday interactions with my community because I can see how people handle things and how emotions come into play. I know, I always tell people to“ stop being emotional” but those are just jokes for the day.
