The third and final aspect that
you need to ensure if you want to be a
fulfilled, engaged, and energized person is
that of your nutrition. Eating foods that fuel
and drive you, that sustain your energy levels
throughout the day will keep your blood
sugar levels constant- balancing your moods
and keeping you engaged and focussed.
Incorporating these foods into a balanced
diet is very important for your physical and
mental health and wellbeing. Foods with
a low glycaemic index such as proteins or
complex carbohydrates will give a slow
release of energy, and should therefore be
dispersed throughout the day in 5 small
meals.
Examples of these types of foods are meats
(red meat, chicken, fish), beans, yoghurt,
cream cheese, nuts (or nut butter), chickpeas
(or hummus), whole wheat bread/pasta,
brown rice, sweet potato, butternut, and
many more. These foods should be had in
5 small portions in order to constantly give
your body energy to keep you going- but not
too much that it gets stored as excess energyand therefore adipose tissue (body fat).
Taking the time to implement these 3 things
into your life will allow you to function as a
fulfilled, energised, loving person.
Once you start treating yourself with the love
and care that you deserve, you will be able to
do the same for others.
