Plan together and stick together. Encourage each other and praise the small steps achieved. If your goals are not aligned, and you are not doing the same thing, it is much harder to support each other throughout. I would recommend meeting at least once a week to strategize meal plans and exercise for the week. Aside from this, ensure that you are sticking together and actually doing the activities together. As often as possible, work out at the same times and use each other for motivation by alternating cooking days or healthy snack preparation. At the end of the day, you need your accountability partner to be your biggest cheerleader. You want them to stand on the sidelines and tell you how great you are doing - no matter how big or small the success may be. As an accountability partner, it is, therefore, your responsibility to be vigilant of not only your progress but also that of your partner. Any achievement should be fully celebrated! Now that you have some tools to get you started, it is time to go out and find that special someone and embark on a journey of self-improvement together!
