Since his appointment as Managing Director in June 2000, followed by the CEO appointment in March 2004, Stassen has been instrumental in establishing the bank’s unique positioning, service platform, and Capitec as a serious alternative to the existing traditional four banks. Prior to his banking career, Stassen gained extensive experience in the liquor industry as Operations Director of Distillers Corporation.
