Siomay
This is like the steamed version of batagor. Siomay is similar with dim sum but with
another touch of Bandung. Siomay served with other compliments like steamed
cabbage, potatoes, bitter groud, boiled egg, and tofu. Siomay cuts into small pieces
and topped with peanut sauce, sweet soy sauce, chili sauce, and a dash of lime juice to
balance the taste. This food sometimes served as lunch too. As it steamed, siomay
strongly considered as a healthy snack. There are many places in Bandung that sell
Siomay, and usually its very easy to find a stall that sells Siomay. Many also call siomay
as "baso tahu". The price for a portion of siomay is varied, depends on the
ingredient inside. Usually, they vary from Rp 20,000 to 50,000 per portion or
around 6 RM to 15 RM.
