Priestley Cup results

The recent AMOS conference was held in Canberra, in conjunction with the Meteorological Society of New Zealand (MSNZ) conference and the Auustralian and New Zealand Climate Forum (ANZCF). With that many acronyms you know it was going to be good! Paul Holper from the official conference media partner Scientell shares the highlights from the hot week of hot science.

Canberra's recent storms

Gavin O'Brien is a founding member of AMOS, and has been involved in taking weather observations since the early 1960s., including time with the Bureau of Meteorology's satellite program and setting up a weather station in Nui Dat Vietnam during his National Service. In 2009, Gavin began operating a personal weather station at his home in Canberra. Turn to page 18 to learn about two extreme events that hit the region in summer 2016.
