Also in the list are obvious choices such as Route 66. The new Scottish Route 500 links perfectly to the Proclaimers tune and inspiration “I would walk 500 miles” with an upgrade to driving. Of course we are sure it wont be long before someone laces up their long distance walking boots to tackle it. The route starts and finishes in Inverness and includes Cape Wrath, John O Groats and plenty of stunning Highlands scenery.
