Sets Another World
Record With The Ultra6
Team And Their Race To
Space Challenge
The Ultra 6 team are no strangers to
long distance endurance challenges
for charity raising tens of thousands of
pounds for the ABF charity. Previously
they ran an ultramarathon followed by
a 100-mile bike ride each day from
Lands End to John O Groats, setting a
world record in the process.
Sarah Outen –
London 2 London Via The World
Sarah Outen MBE is a women on a mission. At BAM we
love her story travelling around the world by human
power, by bike, kayak and ocean rowing boat. After four
years of years of kayaking, rowing and cycling around
the planet Sarah had to abandon ship as she was in the
path of Hurricane Joaquin mid Atlantic. This week she is
completing the final leg by cycling from Falmouth back
to the start at Tower Bridge. Please support her
charities and wish her well. She is truly incredible brave
and determined.

Less than 300 Days Until Rio
After an incredible London 2012 Olympics and argueably
the best Paralympics ever, we hope for more medals and
success in Rio. If the recent gold medals galore from some
of our amazing Olympians at the World Athletics Champs in
Beijing is anything to go by. The headlines were shared by
Greg Rutherford, Jessica Ennis and Mo Farah all delivering
the goods as well as relay and other successes. British
Canoeing have also hosted the World Cup with
BAMbassador Bradley Forbes Cryans competing in the
Men’s Slalom K1.

Andy’s fascination with space travel, mountains and the
Tour de France manifested itself in 2015 with the Ultra 6
becoming the first cyclists to travel 100,000ft of vertical
ascent, the height of the Stratosphere on Mont Ventoux in
France. Another world record to the collection and although
a ‘late developer’ as an athlete Andy, now over 50, regularly
shows the rest of us that anything is possible.

Everyday Astronaut On Tour
Tim Todd is fondly known as the Everyday Astronaut
capturing the imagination of a huge audience on social
media with his striking images wearing his space suit on
tour. A canny purchase on eBay, a former Soviet issue
spacesuit, available in a lovely orange has been seen and
photographed in various locations around the house and
the planet.
