The third race in the Balwin Run Series heads to the stunning Dolphin Coast on Sunday, 22 March 2026, offering something for runners of all levels.
Hosted by Dolphin Coast Striders, the event features a marathon, half marathon, 10km and 5km fun run, making it an ideal race for seasoned competitors and newcomers alike. Set against the spectacular backdrop of the Indian Ocean, this is more than just a race— it’ s a celebration of running, community, and coastal beauty.
The marathon route follows the M4 Coastal Highway from Ballito to Durban, finishing at the Amphitheatre on the Durban Promenade, and is a Comrades qualifier. The half marathon starts at Sibaya, the 10km at Virginia, with both joining the marathon route to the same finish. The 5km fun run starts and finishes at the Amphitheatre.
Bus transport is available to the marathon, half marathon, and 10km start points at R150 per runner, departing from behind the Tourism Office on Marine Parade( above the finish venue) from 3am. Tickets can be purchased online or at registration.
Runners can also enjoy a range of event perks, including FREE race T-shirts for marathon, half marathon and 10km entrants( limited to the first 4,000 entries), plus FREE digital race photographs courtesy of Action Photo SA.
Online entries close at midnight on 10 March, and no entries will be available on race day, except for the 5km fun run.
