HOW TO
SHOW YOUR
GRATITUDE TO
YOUR CLIENTS
by Laura Pennington
G
etting in the swing of business whether it’s
constantly marketing or giving deliverables
to current clients can cause you to lose track
of client care.
Client care is one of the most important aspects of
running a business online today, especially since
many people work entirely digitally and may never
even speak to a client outside of a brief phone or
Skype conversation.
Forging that personal connection becomes all the
more important.
Thankfully, they are several simple steps you can
take to show your clients that they are appreciated and I have outlined some of the most powerful
ones below.
When I was first building my freelance writing
business, I really underestimated the power of recurring business. I later learned that it was the key
to hitting six figures and beyond. It’s better to have
27
5-8 really great clients with recurring work than 20
clients you have to find, get to know, and deliver
work for anew every single month.
If you want to impress clients and get them to
hire you over and over, show some gratitude. This
includes gestures that can pay off over and over
again.
More than 50% of my clients have been working
with me 12 months or longer and I credit that to
consistent quality work turned in on time and my
best efforts to keep them around!
